In Memoriam

Teddy Hanna Singing CowboyWe at the Rusty Spur have lost yet another beloved icon. William Thomas Hanna aka Teddy Hanna, the singing cowboy, who sat at the chair rail on the weekends and sang along with the bands was killed Saturday, October 8th around noon in a car accident in Marshall, Texas.

After quite a few years, Teddy finally got his wish to move to Marshall, Texas to be with his lady friend. He moved Saturday, October 2nd. His lady friend did survive the car accident but not without serious injuries.

We are thankful he passed where he longed to be and with who he longed to be with.

Rest in Peace Teddy, the singing cowboy.

ABOUT US

The Rusty Spur is the oldest of Scottsdale bars, now celebrating its 60th year in business. It was Scottsdale’s first ever saloon. The building is an officially registered historic landmark that used to be the Farmers’ Bank of Scottsdale. Now the money’s gone and the vault’s filled with liquor.
